Youngs Double Chocolate Stout

does anyone know of a bar in the boston area that carries this beer full time ? The Dogwood in JP carries is as a brew of the month but once it is gone I have to fight them to bring it back.. Any help is appreciated, bonus points for JP/Rolslindale area.

  1. Cornwells in kenmore

    1. Not on draft, but Sunset has it for $5.25 for a can.

      1. I've had it at Lord Hobos on tap.

It's definitely not at LH full-time (their sometimes-current taplist is on their site). Though if you sit at the bar at LH I'm sure the bartenders could help you find another beer that you'll really like.

        2. Townsend's in Hyde Park had it last time I was there

          1. Highland Kitchen has it -- it's listed on their dessert menu.

            1. and if you want to buy it, I bet the women at Craft Beer Center in Belmont Center have it

True, but this stuff has reasonably good availability, so Belmont is a long way to trek from JP. Better to check the Harvest Coop or Blanchard's JP before making the trip. And you'd get to Marty's before you made it to Belmont, and I'm sure Marty's stocks it.

              2. Not near JP/Rosy, but on the Orange Line ... Hugh O'Neill's, Malden.

                Nice burger there too.

                1. Soma in Beverly always seems to have it. It's not close to JP, and only marginally "in the Boston area", but if you're desperate, I've never seen them not have it.

                  1. Parish Cafe has it in cans although their beer prices tend to be on the high side. Bukowski's appears to have it as well.
