Savoury cocktails? Also other types of interesting ones..
Is there anywhere in the city I can get interesting savoury cocktail drinks (beyond bloody mary and caesars)?
Also, I went to this really delicious Japanese cocktail bar in Manhattan recently that had a lot of really unique cocktails designed by the bartender. Any recommendations for places for a nice drink in Toronto (not just savoury)?
Currently, the most interesting/tasty drinks to me are at The Black Hoof. It's not an extensive menu, but the drinks are well thought out. Though I can't say they're always savoury.
Campagnolo also has some interesting drinks, but I haven't gone through their drinks menu very thoroughly yet.

i haven't found the black hoof ones to be savoury except for their take on a caesar. they tend to incorporate a lot of fruit via the infusions they do. i love staring at all their jars.
good night might be an option but they tend to run classic. i quite enjoyed their tea at goodnight so it's different, some tannins, but not exactly savoury.
you might do well at bar chef.

I second good night as an option and one of their bartenders also works at Ame where they do lovely drinks as well.

I like the tequila-based cocktails from Reposado, though they are not savoury

They do have to spicy tomato drink that goes with the tequlia which is lovely. I believe it is called sangrita.

I had a pear/rosemary cocktail at Biff's Bistro which was pretty good and I guess would fall into the savoury category (wasn't really sweet at all from what I recall)

splendido has a cocktail with rosemary... can't remember which one, but i think it involved gin... unfortunately it mostly amounted to a sprig of rosemary in the drink and so it didn't have a very strong infusion at all.
