Kid's Party - Make Ahead
I'm hosting a kid's party this weekend with about 20-35 participants (kid's + participants). Party will be at a gym. I'm looking for ideas for things that can be prepared in advance. I have a 2 yo at home and can't ever plan anything for last minute. Also want some things that are relatively easy to transport and don't need much warming/cooling.
Let me know if you have any great ideas. Kid's have relatively well developed palate.
Some ideas I had were maybe pulled pork sandwiches, flavored popcorn...
Fried chicken wing drumettes with a variety of sauces (bbq, honey mustard, etc)
Veggie tray with carrot sticks, cucumber rounds, baby cherry tomatoes, etc and ranch (or other) dip
Baked sweet potato wedges (can be kept warm in a chafer)
Cheese & crackers
Stuffed bread made with refrigerated biscuits, which are rolled out and stuffed with any variety of fillings such as pepperoni & cheese, steak & potato, sautéed veggies, etc. Fold over like a turnover and bake. You can use homemade dough also.
Baked pasta is always a good & easy to serve dish ….ziti, rotini, etc.
On the dessert front, mini whoopee pies, cookies or brownies; bananas or apple slices on a stick dipped in chocolate or caramel and sprinkled with coconut, chopped nuts, crushed pretzels, sprinkles, etc. Rice krispie treats with dried fruit mixed in like pineapple, banana chips, dried apples or pears, etc.

I've done deli wraps that work great for all ages. tip: if you spread a small amt of cream cheese on the end it keeps it sealed & can't even taste it. I just cut them in 1/3rds. you could do macaroni & potato salad with it. Also, soft pretzels.
