Special Place for Lunch

Does anyone have any recommendations for a really nice but quiet place for lunch in metro Phoenix area where we won't be rushed out? Something on the order of The Sanctuary? Would you recommend a hotel or regular restaurant? Ethnic food is fine as well.

In Scottsdale, I think that lunch at Rancho Pinot is very good

Oh wow. I didn't even know Rancho Pinot had a lunch service. I might have to check that out tomorrow.

They started lunch service a while ago and I think for a sit down mellow lunch that it is very good...squid and white bean salad, soup, ricotta gnocchi with lamb ragu and the piadini's have all been good.

At this time of year, it might be worth considering places that have outdoor dining areas. Some that come to mind (in ascending order of "niceness" and peacefulness) are The Herb Box (DC Ranch location), House of Tricks, and Lon's at the Hermosa. I've had good meals at all three restaurants.

The Farm Kitchen (at the Farm at South Mountain) is a nice venue for a quiet lunch, but it has been a long while since I've eaten there, so I can't speak to quality of the food.

Just had lunch at House of Tricks yesterday and it was excellent!
Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal and you could choose from inside or outside dining.
Lon's is lovely too.
