Good eats near Hunter College?

Hi , I am a grad student from Rutgers taking a class at Hunter College in Manhattan (Lexington and 68th). I don't know this area of the city well, does anyone have any rec's for a place for a yummy dinner for a grad student on a budget? Thanks!

I've read several positive reviews for Szechuan Chalet on 2nd Ave bw 72/73rd, and I really enjoy the white slice at Delizia on 1st Ave bw 73/74th.

It might not always conform to your budget, sc, but the public dining room at the Asia Society [70th & Park] has a very creative, appealing menu in a delightful space. Endear yourself to a faculty member at Hunter and eat like a ... i'dunno, like a Buddha!

Grand Sichuan on 2nd Ave near 55th St. is not far, and it's good and not expensive.

Here's a semi- recent thread (with some other semi-recent threads mentioned within) to get you started.
