What is (how to cook?) pork sirloin?

My daughter just bought pork sirloin at Costco and she said she thought it was the same as Boston Butt. I thought not. Then, she said Shoulder and I said I thought Butt and Shoulder were the same.

She said they look like small round roasts, about 2 lbs each.

Any suggestions?

  1. If it's the sirloin, it's definitely not the shoulder, as you know. Treat it like a piece of pork loin -- it'll overcook and dry out very quickly.

The Pork Sirloin comes from the lower Rib End Roast area of the pig. ....known also as the Loin End. It makes for a nice roast or cutlets

    2. When she unwrapped it, there was a recipe! She was to roast it until 160 but she went out and when she returned it was 190 -- tasted okay to me (but I don't eat anything rare).
