Help! Accidentally put plastic in Slow Cooker with meat... is it still OK?

Ok I feel like the world's biggest idiot, but when I slid my chuck roast into the slow cooker this morning to make shredded beef burritos, I accidentally let the plastic meat thing that the meat sits on slide into the slow cooker. It's that plastic padding bit that is usually black/white. Anyways, I just got home and saw that hanging out in the slow cooker, with all the delicious meat. Is my meal ruined? Would it be horrible to eat? Please help, thanks!!!

      Phew! Thanks. ;-)

    2. Thank you for posting this question/answer. I just did the same thing in my slow cooker!!!

      1. I can't imagine that it would be any worse than the rest of us who roast a chicken or the Thanksgiving turkey with the paper bag of giblets inside...
