i've posted that the vietnamese bun salad at chindian is one of my faves in town. always very fresh, great dressing. the owners manage the pan-asian menu in an intelligent way. i particularly like the 3 or 4 solid malaysian menu items they've added in the last year or so. even overflogged american-chinese restaurant standbys receive careful treatment and good quality ingredients at this establishment-- i confess to really liking chindian's singapore noodles, when i'm in the mood for that sort of thing.
one of the co-owners, nina wong, comes from the restaurant family owners of rainbow chinese on eat street, her husband and co-owner is (southeast asia) indian-- chinese+indian=chindian. all in all, a great msp mom&pop imo.
