Saturday lunch E. of the Cooper River (Charleston, SC)

As we live only a little over two hours from Charleston, we like to drive down occasionally for a weekend. This coming weekend, we're staying in Mount Pleasant, arriving at lunchtime Saturday. As we'll be going into Charleston for dinner, we'd like to have lunch East of the Cooper.

Last trip, we tried Poe's Tavern on Sullivans Island and really liked it, but we want to branch out and try someplace new.

I've got a hankering for a fish taco, a grouper sandwich or maybe a shrimp or oyster po' boy.
Are any of the Shem Creek places any good?

  1. It's a little ways up 17, but have you tried Seewee? Great grouper sandwiches and po' boys. The best fish taco on this side is Poe's. The Mustard Seed is also good for lunch. If you like diner style either Page's or Boulevard Diner are good.
