Watching the Oscars in Pasadena

A friend or two and I would like to go out to watch the Oscars (and pre-show fun) in the Pasadena area. Does anyone of a place with food and drinks that will be screening the show? It's not quite like a sporting event so I'm unsure if bars will be showing it. Thanks...

Don't know if this is the atmosphere you're looking for...but I'd check with the Langham. Sometimes hotels screen events in the lobby/bar.

I was wondering the same thing--all I found was this: http://www.altadenaalehouse.com. Apparently you can watch the Oscars at Altadena Ale House, but I've never been there. From Yelp it seems most people like it (good beer selection), but aside from the cheese tray, not much in the way of food is offered.

I know Barney's Beanery in Old Town has individual screens at the tables which you can turn to whatever channel you want, but I don't know if you can turn up the volume enough to hear anything.

My recommendation from last year (see above) still stands. You might want to check that they will have the sound on, but I can't imagine they wouldn't.

You might check with the newest branch of Lucky Baldwin's. I counted eleven (!) HD flat panel displays when I was there recently, including at least two larger then 50".

The link from that event is dated 2007. On the Alex's home page, the only event listed for Sunday, February 26, is the LA Chamber Orchestra matinee performance.
