Mystic Pizza is not worth it,My family and I tried it last year and the Pizza is terrible.
Now we also tried Mangos Wood Fired Pizza at Old Mystic Village.
Now that was great Pizza thin crust and tasted close to New Haven Thin Crusted Pizza like Modern or Pepe's.
My feeling is this forget Mystic Pizza and just go to Mangos.
I found there website aswell http://www.mangospizza.com/Home.html .
Mystic is good if you are a tourist and do not know any better about where the good local Pizza is at and think thats what good pizza is .-----

Never was very good. Lots of better places to eat in Mystic, including, possibly, a new pizza place (Pizzetta ) which actually looks interesting. (Didn't check out in person as I had just had breakfast at Kitchen Little but the next time I'm in town I will)

re: Alica
One thing that made me crazy about Mystic Pizza is the fact that they actually have the movie playing.... in a continuous loop on their tv. The employees must either block it out or be on some kind of medication...
Has anyone tried Mangos pizza in Mystic Village?

re: Nickmerill
I actually prefer Pizzetta pizza to Mangos, but Mangos' pizzas are OK, a huge step above Mystic Pizza's. I will say that salads at Mangos are great-my favorite is Cindy's Salad-greens, craisons, gorgonzola, walnuts and balsamic vinaigrette.

re: coastalgypsy
Coastal, you must be a very compassionate person to have recognized the employees' woeful working conditions.
Even as a customer I don't think I could eat a slice of bad pizza with Julia Roberts' witch face squawking at me. And, under normal circumstances I can usually eat bad pizza.

re: thinks too much
Thinks-too-much, is right. It's not bad, but over-rated and touristy. However, it's sizable so it's easier to get a seat with your kids there during lunch than other places in the immediate area. You know I went to Pizzettas across the street which I heard good things about and either I ordered the wrong pizza or it's not that good. I wanted it to be awesome and felt it should be awesome, but I was disappointed. I'm not from the area so therefore I'm only in the area 2 to 3 times a Spring/Summer.
I like Pepe's New Haven/Manchester and I like Wooster Street also, but since the post is about Mystic Pizza I have to say it's not worth the drive unless you find yourself walking restaurant to restaurant trying to get a table at 1PM on a Sunny day in Mystic like has happened to me.
