To give you an idea of how long the waits are, I tried CSBC for dinner at 7P Tuesday night and was told the wait would be an hour (NB February is Pancake Month). We were ok with having Dessert Truck Works first but ended up waiting over 1.5 hours. A few years ago I waited 3 hours for Sunday brunch because someone in my party insisted on it, but I won't make that mistake again - I can't get enough of the pancakes but won't wait that long for anything.

What I've done for dinner is gather a large group of friends and made a reservation. They'll take reservations only for groups of 6+ people (just something to keep in mind).

I've never experienced a wait at dinner time (although I'm sure that it does happen). I had the blueberry pancakes for dinner just last week. Mmmm.
Note that if you go for dinner, you can help yourself to one of the brown bags of leftover scones on the table in front. Even though they were made early that morning, they're still delicious!

Leftover muffins, too, sometimes!

Same here. We've only been there for a couple of early dinners on weekdays.

Same here. Only go for a late-afternoon to early-evening meal. But since I wake up really late sometimes it's still breakfast for me.

I've only gone once, for a late weekday breakfast. I was thinking of going with some friends for dinner and inquired about the typical dinnertime wait on a Saturday night. I was told there usually is no or only a very short wait. So, it seems to really be more of a breakfast and lunch destination.

I can't deal with the lines on weekends so I go during the week when I have a day off.
I get there about 8 AM and get right in. I know this won't work for most people.

I went there, once, at 8AM and was told that they wouldn't be serving hot food until 10AM. That put me off, so I haven't bothered to return.

Go figure? Not my experience at all.

luckily i live fairly close to here, so i usually go put my name down and then come back later on
you might want to put your name down and then go to a coffee shop somewhere and just hang out...id def suggest getting there before 10am
the line situation is def ridiculous

Thanks for all of the responses. I thought that we would go on Sunday morning as part of our weekend trip but the early time plus the possible wait sound terrible - especially with 2 young-ish kids in tow.

yah unfortunately i dont think its the best idea with two young kids. although it is very good and do recommend going sometime. get the sugar cut bacon as a side order its so good

Well, for what it's worth, let me try to convince you especially after I've seen their latest Facebook entry of the February pancake-of-the-month. it's dried pineapples and nuts on their most delectable stack of pancakes.
Anyway, if you guys can all make it there at 9 am on Sunday, you will just need to send one person at 8:30 am to reserve your table for 4. We're early risers, or some of us forced ourselves to do so, and the last time we did it 3 months ago, we had that person put in his name for all SEVEN of us on a Sunday brunch. A bit of a sacrifice for non-early risers, but well worth it.
