Good rotisserie chicken in downtown Toronto?

I love rotisserie/roast chicken, but can't find any half-decent in the downtown area. Are there any places that I've been missing?

I like what they have at the Q (formerly St. Hubert) in Etobicoke, but can't find anything of similar quality without going to a fine dining establishment. Are there any places that provide good roast chicken for a reasonable price, one where you can just pick it up without having to dine in? There's a place right by Schwartz's in Montreal that looked like exactly what I'm looking for in Toronto.

Churrasco's of St. Clair is somewhat similar, but it's a bit far.

Can anyone help?

Swiss Chalet does not count - they occasionally have pretty good product in store, but taking that stuff home turns it in to mud. I would say they had a good product about 10-15 years ago, but it went severely downhill from there.

  1. The place in Montreal by Schwartz's is Coco Rico. Great rotisserie chicken! Sorry I can't help you find somewhere like that in T.O I'm still looking..

    1. Everyone I know swears by the Portuguese chicken place at Bloor and Delaware. Sorry, I don't remember the name, but it's on the northeast corner.

Sardinha O Rei Dos Frangos is at Bloor and Delaware. The chicken is pretty good and I have a soft spot for them because I order about 50 chickens a couple of times a year to feed very poor people and they always give me a great price and deliver them east of Yonge for free. Nice people.

      2. George's on Bathurst just North of Bloor, West side.

        1. Inigo, across from Trinity Bellwoods Park.
