Turkish food in Newmarket, NH

There seems to be a growing trend of good ethnic food at NH gas stations (like Quick-to-Go in Somersworth)! The new Turkish Kebabs at Jay's Newmarket Convenience Store on 35 North Main St. (across from the bowling alley) in Newmarket, NH is fantastic! We have been back a couple of times to get zucchini and vegetable fritters, spinach borek, bulgher salad, hummus, mucver (zucchini cakes), red lentil soup, eggplant salad...and everything is fresh and delicious. The people are so nice and encourage us to taste whatever we are asking about that day. Make an effort to find this place!

I just had to post an update. This time they had lots of new dishes including a stuffed eggplant, stuffed zucchinis, artichoke hearts, grape leaves. All wonderful!

That sounds excellent. I'm looking forward to checking it out.

There is a gas station just up the road from there--on the right side of 108 when headed toward Durham. They had awesome stuffed grape leaves and falafel in a cooler. But the last time I drove by, the sign made me think that the place may have changed hands. Hoping not...

THAT's the place! And yes, it is under new management--and it is these wonderful people from Turkey!
