Brasserie Kensington (Calgary)
Was perusing the list of restaurants in this year's Dine Out Calgary (March 4-14) and noticed Brasserie Kensington on there http://www.calgarydowntown.com/the-bi.... It's the new place above Winebar that used to be an interior decorating office run by the same owners of Muse, Winebar and AKA Bistro.
Judging from the sample menus, it's going to be meat heavy.

I'm going to check this place out asap. I'd love it for Calgary to have a proper brasserie. Quite a bit of potential here.....
Anyone been yet?

I dropped in for a cocktail on Saturday, we only had bar snacks. The martinis were excellent. The vodka used was something I'd never heard of... "Buffalo Grass" I think they said. We sat up at the kitchen bar and chatted with the owner, he mentioned they are open for Brunch on Saturdays and Sundays too. The food looked fantastic. The poutine portion was very large (at least twice the size of Charcut). It was not even 7pm and the place was packed.
I think I'll be going back to check it out. I would also like to hear more from other Chowfriends on this place..
