Zena's Lebanese Cuisine on Tustin ave in Orange

what you think about this place? Worth a try. the ground beef kabab is like 19 bucks and the whole red snapper is like 24 bucks, so it ain't cheap for a whole in the wall type place in a mini-mall. But is it any good? Or not really compared to the prices?

I may have to be Orange for a few days, so hence the litany of posts on Orange reccomendations.

I have enjoyed it, but didn't think it was great. I just haven't bothered to search out better in the area since it is relatively close to home.

I had only been to Byblos once, and I didn't think it was particularly better.

Byblos is the same level of food to me — serviceable — but at 1/3 less cost.

1/3 the cost of Zena's? also why is Zena's so damn expensive? anyone have an explanation?

also, wasn't cedar's known by a different name before?

          1/3 less than Zena's. Where Zena's is $18, Byblos is $12.

Cedars was Meejana before. Short-lived, that place was. Different owners though.

that's it Meejana, i read a write-up about it. It sure sounded good.

And Cedars i presume is better than Meejana?

            thanks.

I did end up at Ralph's Subs. I really like that place, the one joint that still reminds me of East Coast style subs.

It's average. Cedars down the street is a better option, or Byblos in the Circle (and Cedars is better than Byblos).

None of them can hold a candle to the places in Little Arabia, like Olive Tree.

Definitely Olive Tree is better!!! (or anywhere in Little Arabia for that matter...)

I thought it was an average Lebanese restaurant.

For the prices you're paying, it's not worth it. Calling this place average is being kind.
