Best Lively Atmosphere

My sister is in town from Halifax and I want to take her to a great restaurant with a lively atmosphere and great food. Any suggestions?

Probably the liveliest spot in town is Guu. It's nuts in there.

Guu is really lively and fun. However two important notes:
1 - be prepared to wait. Usually about an hour.
2 - there is a time limit for each table. I think it is two hours. Eat, drink, be merry and leave in two hours :-)

What part of town? What price point? Any particular type of food?

In absence of answers to the above, I'll throw out Buca or Origin. Both lively and buzz-y and mostly very good food (oddly enough, avoid the pastas at Buca).

OK. Well, the two I recommended above are on the trendy/hip side. If you want something less along those lines, but still lively, then Tabule in midtown is great Middle Eastern food or Le Select downtown is a nice French bistro that is always busy with a nice buzz.

There are probably a hundred restaurants that fit your description, so if you could narrow your request down a bit more, you'd get better recs.
