Tasti D Lite - Severna Park
Tasti D Lite finally opened a few weeks ago in Severna Park, I believe it's the first outpost anywhere in the area. Apparently the concept is low calorie soft serve. When we went, there wasn't much explanation for the somewhat convuluted menu. Basically they have three flavors, but for an additional fee, they can customer make any flavor on their flavor list (maybe around 100 flavors). Anyway, we went for standard flavors chocolate (with hot fudge on top) and toffee crunch. Since it was soft serve, despite the name, there was no crunch to the toffee crunch. This flavor was ok, not great, but I didn't find it objectionable. But the chocolate, ugh, that was off. There was just an odd chemical flavor that I found very offputting in both the chocolate and the hot fudge. Add in the ambiance, which was a TV showing skateboard vidoes, and I'll pass. I was hopeful, and I love the idea of a low calorie treat, but I'd rather eat one scoop from Brewsters than five servings of Tasti D Lite.
personally i think the stuff is foul...but there are obviously many people who disagree with me because they've had locations all over NYC for ages.

Actually, every time we go to NYC we notice that Tasti D Lite locations are disappearing.
