zuni or nopa?

Got a guest coming in from out of town. I haven't been to Zuni in a long time, so would you recommend there or NOPA for dinner? This would be mid-week.

Honestly, first I would check to see where you can get a reservation, because reservations at both can be a challenge (and the wait at Nopa can last forever). Nopa is younger, noisier, more casual Zuni is a little quieter, older, a little more refined. I like the food at both.

Last Saturday night's Zuni chicken was spot on. On the last prior visit, it was good but not as good as it should have been.

Thanks. I've gotten a res for Zuni but it's a bit later than I'd really like (we're a mixed group, so joining a couple of relatives in their 70's). NOPA's out. Any other suggests? Thinking perhaps Piperade, South Park Cafe, Zazie?

Piperade is a very comfortable place with excellent food. Also, have you considered Kokkari?

Thanks, Paul. I think Piperade is it.

Nopa is more welcoming, but also noisier. Better food at Nopa, better drinks at Zuni.

I haven't had the drinks at Zuni, but NOPA has some of my favorite drinks in the city...this seems hard to believe
