Meals at the Moulin Rouge

My recollection of dinner at the Moulin Rouge is not pleasant (about 10 years ago)- pate that tased like stale bologna, and dry duck. Has anyone tried the food at Moulin Rouge recently. The better seats seemed to go to the dining patrons, and those who cam for the show only sat in the rear. Thank you

I have wanted to do the dinner and show thing on every visit and people I admire warn me off again and again. "The food is less than average," they say. And, "After NYC and LV, you'll be disappointed in the shows." "It's an overpriced tourist trap'" they say.

Maybe someone will correct my understanding because I really want to go.

If you really respect what you put in your mouth, - and you do because you are a hound, n'est-ce-pas? - and you "really want to go", then go, but have early dinner at nearby P├ętrelle or Q-Tea or 37m2, then get your nice dinner seats at Moulin Rouge and just pick at the tourist food served.

I walked past the Moulin Rouge last week. Dinner and the show really is very expensive so if the food is not very good I wouldn't risk it. The later shows are reasonable and you get a half bottle of champagne. As Parigi says, eat first and then go!

Do you know if there are reasonably good seats for the "show only, " as it seems the food has not changed much since my visit 20 years ago? Thank you.
