Suggestions with Th & Sat dinner in Vegas. Staying at Mirage, show tickets @ 9:30p on Saturday

  • 3

Hello,

We have a group of 6/8 headed to Las Vegas, and I am looking for some suggestions for a couple of nights - we're eating at Bouchon Friday night so that's covered.

Thursday - we'll have all gotten into town and just looking for something reasonably close and low-key to grab some food and drinks to catch up with one another. As of now, Japonais with their decent happy hour is the leader in the clubhouse

Saturday - there will be 8 of us, and the show @ 9:30 means we can't venture too far from the Mirage. I haven't stayed there before, so I don't have reference distances to Caesar's and/or Venetian/Palazzo. We've got to to be back for the show, and the girls will be dressed up and unwilling to walk terribly far. I'd prefer something reasonably priced - the lounge menu at Bradley Ogden looked good to me but I don't know about the walk from Mirage to Caesar's and back.

Our group is have issues with decisions, and I'm concerned with 8 we will be out of luck on a Saturday night. Oh - and no car and not an adventurous group, so the interesting asian places off-strip you're mentioning are unfortunately a no-go.

Thanks,

Bryan

  1. My wife says that Bradley Ogden to the Love theater is about the limit that she'd be willing to walk in heels. Caesar's is "next door" to the Mirage but it's still a bit of a hike through the mall to BO.
The BO burger really is good though.

There's also Spago which is not quite as far as BO.

There's PJ Clark's in Caesar's Forum which is reasonably close and probably has something for the non-adventurous.
Also Stack in the Mirage isn't bad.

Enoteca Otto (or whatever it's called now) in the Venetian isn't really that far either.

      TAKE A CAB.

Porte corchre of the Mirage to the underground entrance in the Forum Shops. The escalators or elevators will put you close to Spago with out walking.

$8 in a taxi is worth 1000 times that later that night in your room. Know what I mean? :)

    2. The Venetian is right across the strip from the Mirage and it should take only 5 minutes to walk to restaurant row there. That opens up a fair number of places in the Venetian Palazzo complex. Caesars is somewhat further to walk - I'd say slightly above 10 minites for the walk. If they;re not super adventurous, how about Valentino's? Very very solid menu and a tasting menu that is usually solid for the few adventurous among you.
