looking for good artichokes in antelope valley area. Anyone know where? Please give store and location, don't just say "albertsons"
Thanks in advance
When they're in season, try Ben's Corner on Avenue L (east of Costco). They generally have the best produce in the AV. I love their strawberries. Good luck!
not sure if you have a henry's there but i just bought some on sunday and they were meaty and tasteful!
Henrys is Smart & Final, and they tend to have less than stellar produce. Beware of being too early for as sensitive a veggie as an artichoke. Waiting for a week or three will only make things better.
Yes, do not buy any for at least the next 30 days or so.Way too woody, and just downright tasteless - I know, I tried one last week, and that was the verdict.
It's not really artichoke season; there are some hothouse ones available but they're pretty woody and gross. Baby artichokes will be available in a month or two.
