Artichokes

looking for good artichokes in antelope valley area. Anyone know where? Please give store and location, don't just say "albertsons"

    When they're in season, try Ben's Corner on Avenue L (east of Costco). They generally have the best produce in the AV. I love their strawberries. Good luck!

      not sure if you have a henry's there but i just bought some on sunday and they were meaty and tasteful!

        Henrys is Smart & Final, and they tend to have less than stellar produce. Beware of being too early for as sensitive a veggie as an artichoke. Waiting for a week or three will only make things better.

        Yes, do not buy any for at least the next 30 days or so.
        Way too woody, and just downright tasteless - I know, I tried one last week, and that was the verdict.

          It's not really artichoke season; there are some hothouse ones available but they're pretty woody and gross. Baby artichokes will be available in a month or two.
