Any have good recommendations for Indian Lunch Buffets? West LA preferred.

  1. for west LA, my indian lunch buffet preference is JAIPUR.
on pico west of westwood blvd near the landmark theaters.

for a vegetarian dinner buffet on wednesday or thursday try ANNAPURNA on venice blvd. i don't remember what their story is for lunch buffet.

of course, the best indian food can be found in artesia.

if you are willing to consider a vegetarian combo plate instead of a buffet with meat, give SAMOSA HOUSE (there are two of them) and BAWARCHI (venice blvd near overland) a try.

Annapurna does have a lunch buffet too. It's only $9 and pretty great. (They give you a whole, freshly cooked dosa!)

    2. The best Indian buffet I've had is The India Restaurant in Artesia. I don't bother with ones on the westside (and I live in WLA and love Indian food).

I second The India Restaurant. Too bad there's not a branch in Los Angeles or the SFV.

3rd. Worth the drive and they keep stocking it with fresh stuff until the end. Also, after that remodel, it has a nicer atmosphere.

      2. We really like the buffet at India's Oven. One of our favorite restaurants in the valley, Copper Chimney, closed about a year ago. we traced the chef hired by the new owners to find this restaurant (which has been around forever - i remember it being so so when i was at UCLA).

Anyway it's on WIlshire around Barrington.

Attention: moderators. Since bfrog said that Copper Chimney has closed, it should be removed from the "Places Mentioned" lest people be encouraged to go there.

We marked it as closed in the database. That should filter over here in a few hours.

I agree that on the west side India's Oven has been the best that I have found for N. Indian food along w/ Annapurna for S. Indian.
