I like Kanes' downtown GV. Both meals I've had there have been very good. "Family restaurant with banquets, tables and booths, updayed menu, cool bar. open kitchen.

Can't let a mention of Nevada City go without a nod to the 'Truffle God'--Willem De Groot in uptown NC. Wow! is the word on his chocolate masterpieces.

Villa Venezia used to be very good in Grass Valley, then it got very bad and heard it got good again -- charming setting and when it was good it was a treat, so I wish it well.
