Shanghai Dumpling King?

goodsoup25 Feb 19, 2011 01:04 PM

Went to the Shanghai Dumping Kind last week for lunch. Was surprised to find new owners/staff in the kitchen. Does anyone know what's become of the last owner?

Lunch was good, although not up to the 'old ' standard. XLB very good, but with less soup. The Shanghai style noodles and the pea tips were good, but not quite as good.

Love to know where the last group went.

The chef/owner with the shaved head is gone? Could it be the staffs switched around from Shanghai Dumpling Shop in Millbrae, a sister shop?

I was told that there were new owners -- nothing more. I have no idea about the staffs.

Oh that's a bummer. Hopefully things stay the same but realistically I think your experience already says it. Oh well.
