Ajicitos Dulces (Aji Dulce): Where can I find it in the Orange County?

I'm looking to make some boricua food that requires Ajicitos dulces
(Cachucha peppers)?

It's also simply called Aji Dulce.

Does anyone know where I can find it in Orange County?
I'd drive up to LA for them if I knew where to purchase.

  1. I know a few places. There are two Latin stores in Upland/Montclair areas. Latimex in Montclair... she gets them once a year, I got them once but they got mixed up with habanaros ruined ma. and Librios in Upland on Euclid get them some times. Warning they confuse them with the hot ones. Ruined a number of dishes. They are out of season right now so don't let them fool you.

Last resort is on line. I missed the season last year. They said sometime in April they have them. Here is the URL The freeze nicely if you take the seeds out. They also do dry.

Good luck!! and yes Ngo Gai works great I been using it for years.

This board is specific to Los Angeles, CA. You should post your question on the Houston, TX sub-forum:

Good luck finding ajices dulces locally! I don't know what's been going on, but for some reason I haven't been able to find them anywhere in New York City for a long time now, though they used to be pretty common here.
