Spring Training Trip Recs

My family of 8 is going to Spring Training in a few weeks and i'd welcome any recommendations please. We are going to be staying in the Scottsdale area. Based on prior trips here are some of the places on my list that I typically visit. Please provide any feedback or new recommendations that you think we'd enjoy. Try to keep to under $15/person please.

Breakfast: Matt's Big Breakfast

American Food: White Chocolate, Bandera, Tommy Bahama

Pizza: Grimaldi's or Bianca

Dessert: Sugar Bowl

Burger: In-N-Out (this is a must for us)

  1. For Naples-style pizza, I'd definitely check out Pomo. There are other threads on the board with lots of discussion of details, but in a nutshell, its great and not a long wait time.

    'Pomo Pizzeria Napoletana
    6166 N Scottsdale Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85253

    1. breakfast: Daily Dose - if you are here on a friday between 4-8 they have $5 burger and frys and they are quite good (aussie kobe beef and pretzel bun)

american food: bandera is good, i would drop white chocolate, never been to tommy

      Daily Dose
4020 N Scottsdale Rd, Scottsdale, AZ

      1. Depending on where you're staying in Scottsdale, one of the Over Easy locations might be close. Their prices are reasonable for the quality.

Staying in your budget might be a challenge. If you are near the Tempe end of town, you might try to find some places from the downtown Tempe vicinity to the Mekong Plaza in NE Mesa. That area is pretty accessible if your party is up for the adventure. I would get dessert at Angel Sweet Gelato ahead of most other places, but, they just have gelato, and seating is very limited.

You might get more specific recommendations if you tell us where you are staying. Most of Scottsdale is very long and narrow.

You could get one of the very limited reservations for your party of eight at Pizzeria Bianco. The last time I checked, they were booked one month in advance.

Edit: The Angel Sweet location I'm referring to, is in the Mesa Riverview mall near Wing Stop and Rubio's.

        Pizzeria Bianco
        623 E Adams St, Phoenix, AZ 85004

        Over Easy
4730 E Indian School Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85018
