Brunch in downtown Berkeley

Where can I take a college friend (from 50 yrs ago!) on a Monday at 11:30?

    Five in Hotel Shattuck does breakfast on the weekdays, brunch on Sunday.

      La Note is good for breakfast. Also, Sunny Side Cafe (2136 Oxford St.; haven't been to this newer downtown location yet, but the original on Solano is a longtime favorite).

        La Note is great, and from 11 on both breakfast and lunch menus are available.

        It's not brunch and a few blocks north of downtown but you can have lunch at Chez Panisse Cafe at 11:30 and get a reservation.

          Venus has good breakfast and lunch foods. Breakfast is served through lunchtime hours, and lunch from 11:30.
