Near Sunshine theater (Houston St. & 2nd Ave.)

A friend and I are going to a movie Sunday afternoon at Landmark's Sunshine theater, and want to eat a late lunch afterwards. She is a vegeatarian (no meat or fish) so Katz's would not be appropriate. We also want a quiet place to sit and chat. She suggested Spring St. Natural, but last time I ate there, I didn't care much for the food. She is trying to diet, so nothing very fattening would be good. We like ethnic food, if not too spicy, or a good diner would be fine. And not expensive- about $20. - 25. for a lunch (no wine). I know it's a lot to ask for. Any suggestions?
Thank you.

... and Prune, of course (although I prefer Lucien, too.)

We like Boca Chica at First and First. I usually have their vegetarian green chile which is very tasty. They have a number of other non-meat/fish choices.

I am fond of Lucien and 'inoteca, both very fine places to hang out and chat, although on a Sunday afternoon neither is likely to be that quiet. Your friend will have more to choose from at 'inoteca.
