Montgomery Saturday Lunch Recommendations
Hi all --
I've looked at some of the previous Montgomery threads but there's nothing terribly recent, plus I'm not familiar w/ Montgomery and I'm looking for recs along a particular travel route. So any help you can offer would be great.
On Saturday I'll be traveling south on I-65, then getting off on Hwy 82, then to Troy Hwy. Looking for good lunch along this route. A few blocks off the path is fine, but I don't have a lot of time to dally. I like BBQ but can get that any time at home. I really like "bistro' style places, modern cuisine or really excellent throwback food. Traditional southern is fine, but I'm a good southern cook and anything that's better than what I can make at home is rare. I like ethnic, too, but I can get good Mexican, Asian, etc. at home, too.
One example of something that's would be right up my alley menu-wise is Olive Room if they were open for lunch.
So, suggestions welcome!
Ham and High is nice for lunch or dinner.

Go to Martin's for good country food that's might good may not be good as home cooking but still good.
