Sunday Birthday Brunch - Telepan?
I am taking my girlfriend out for brunch on Sunday and would like some feedback. Right now, I am choosing between Telepan and Five Points, with Telepan in the lead. I require that the place accepts reservations, but location and price (to a certain point) is not an issue. Any other suggestions, or feedback on Telepan brunch?

So we ended up at Telepan, and I must say it was a little disappointing. First of all, the bread basket had only 3 small pieces (cinnamon, bran?, onion) for 2 people, all of which were cold. The first courses (ricotta blintz, hazlenut crepe) were very good, but we were underwhelmed by the second courses (biscuit and gravy, pancake soufflé). Especially for the money, there are way better brunches to be had (Maialino, Locanda Verde) in my opinion.

It depends what you are looking for in terms of food and atmosphere. I'm partial to:

re: kathryn
I tried Maialino; they are completely booked for Sunday. We've been to Locanda Verde before and really loved it, but we want to try something different this time around.
As for food, we're really looking for great American brunch food. Atmosphere is less important than food, although we'd like something nice for a birthday celebration.
