French in Miami - Fort Lauderdale Area?
Looking for great french bistros and restaurants in the Fort Lauderdale to Miami area, especially those serving traditional fare.
I've had this thread bookmarked for a while, but the last entry is now 3 years old, and the discussion is limited to Miami:

Buena Vista Deli - Right next to the Design District in Miami. They serve a variety of excellent quiche and a nice selection of french pastries amongst other things.
Buena Vista Bistro - Right next door to Buena Vista Deli. They serve traditional bistro fare that is quite good.

Newer places not mentioned on that other thread ->
Petit Rouge - North Miami on Biscayne Blvd. Very small cozy bistro type of place, mostly traditional menu, good duck rillettes, tarte flambe, frisee lardon, moules & frites, steak frites, duck confit, etc.
DB Bistro Moderne - dowtown Miami. A Daniel Boulud restaurant. More upscale than what you'd typically regard as "bistro" food (and priced accordingly). Very precise and elevated cooking, only been a couple times and still trying to get a feel for the place.
Still going strong: Pascal's on Ponce, Palme d'Or in the Biltmore, Gourmet Diner in North Miami (though last visit was not quite as good as it used to be).

re: tpigeon
"Rendezvous" (on Biscayne at around 172street..in ACE Hardware Plaza)....lovely little cafe/Bistro, as authentic as I've ever seen outside of Quebec/Toronto/France...wonderful Quiche, Moules, Bread..We stay in Aventura for the month of January and discovered this place last year..couldn't wait to go back there this year. Have had excellent Lunch and Dinner there...It is rather small & cozy and they don't stay open late, it 'truly is' a Cafe in the best sense!(and we got to speak French, or more to the point 'franglais'!!
