Emperor Norton chips?

Has anyone seen these anywhere in SF? A friend requested some as a hostess gift when i visit this weekend. She said they come in a silver bag.

I checked Rainbow and Safeway but no luck....

I can't seem to find their website or contact info anywhere.

Ine more update...I called the distributor, Interstate Brands, who told me it would take 3-5 days for someone to get back to me with information about specific stores that might carry these. Sheesh.

I need them for this weekend so still hoping maybe someone has seen them in SF!

I've never had someone request a specific hostess gift. Is that common?

Anyway, if you show up without them you can link her to this thread. As a substitute, maybe those Sun Chips in the really loud compostable bags? ;-)

You're right, it's usually "wolfe, don't even think of bringing that this time."

They got rid of the compostable bags. Apparently they were too loud! :)

was more like..."anything specific you want from sf..." and that's what she wanted. In NOLA now, having a blast. Everyone's friendly, just back from lunch at Galatoire's (fantastic), having a drink before dinner at Antoine's.

Thanks for the the help chowhounders

            2. Those things are so good! I grew up on them. I usually only see them at SFO now, but I think I saw them once at the Safeway down in Jackson Square. Good luck!
