Has anyone seen these anywhere in SF? A friend requested some as a hostess gift when i visit this weekend. She said they come in a silver bag.

I checked Rainbow and Safeway but no luck....

Those things are so good! I grew up on them. I usually only see them at SFO now, but I think I saw them once at the Safeway down in Jackson Square. Good luck!

See if you can contact the San Francisco Fresh Bread Company.

Ine more update...I called the distributor, Interstate Brands, who told me it would take 3-5 days for someone to get back to me with information about specific stores that might carry these. Sheesh.

I need them for this weekend so still hoping maybe someone has seen them in SF!

I've never had someone request a specific hostess gift. Is that common?

Anyway, if you show up without them you can link her to this thread. As a substitute, maybe those Sun Chips in the really loud compostable bags? ;-)

You're right, it's usually "wolfe, don't even think of bringing that this time."

They got rid of the compostable bags. Apparently they were too loud! :)

haha...it was more like..."anything specific you want from sf..." and that's what she wanted. In NOLA now, having a blast. Everyone's friendly, just back from lunch at Galatoire's (fantastic), having a drink before dinner at Antoine's.

Thanks for the the help chowhounders
