Dinner before show @ The Wang...
Hey foodies!!
I'm heading into town Monday for a concert at the Wang, and I'll be looking to grab dinner before around 6:00...not to big into "China town" and have previously been to Rock Bottom. Looking to switch it up and assessing what else is near by for preshow recommendations w/ other places to eat?? Open to any kind of menu and moderately priced. I would like to stay around the Tremont/ Stuart St. area b/c of parking purposes
Thanks~ Eating, Drink and be Merry :)

As usual, I like Teatro for before theatre dinner. Especially their half protions work well. Food is always top notch and winelist by the glass is very nice. And, I've said this many times before, their calamari is my very favorite.
Enjoy,

I like Avila or Teatro for wine and snacks in that area.

re: C. Hamster
If you order *very* carefully at Jacob Wirth, you can at least get something edible. The iceberg wedge with bacon and blue cheese isn't awful, for example, and much of the basic appetizer menu is passable, especially if you're having a lot of beer. But overall, it's a culinary last resort.

Have you been to Market? It's my favorite restaurant in Boston. Delicious fish, sleek service, lively room!

You might try intermission tavern. . . it's owned by a stagehand - dont know if it's chowish. Haven't really eaten there. We do like Teatro for half portion pastas. We also like Via Matta for their bread and house wine and eggplant and another side of veggies for a lovely simple meal.

There is the new pizza/pasta chain from Germany (Viapiano?) on Stuart a couple of blocks from the Wang.

re: gourmaniac
Vapiano's website is sort of creepy/offputting/weird
"VAPIANO is a very urban concept for young professionals, consisting of over sixty percent female clientele. So we only pick modern urban and centralized locations with high visibilty, high ceilings and bright and open architecture with lots of daylight and beautiful patios."
