Paris Meals
Hello Everyone -
Based on some recommendations from this site and family and friends I came up with some meal reservations for this coming weekend. Please comment and let me know what you think. My husband and I love really good food, but do not need a fancy place to enjoy it. We especially love finding the hidden treasures - which we work on doing in Manhattan, where we live. I wanted to go to Spring, but they are closed. I also wanted to try Frenchie, but they could not accommodate us. We would love to have one really memorable meal.
Here are our current reservations:
Friday lunch: Bistro Volnay
Friday dinner: Saturne
Saturday dinner: Ami Jean
Sunday dinner: Le Reminet
Do you suggest that I make reservations for lunch on Saturday and Sunday as well? I'm not sure exactly what area we will be in on those days.
Thanks in advance!

With all those heavy dinners (and nice choices) I 'd plan on grazing the open air markets around noon time for some small special treats...maybe share a bottle, some cheese and bread. I 'd also plan on some long sightseeing walks.

Saturne is not that heavy.
Notre Ami o yes. Someone on this board called it "death by foie gras".
Le Reminet, while not heavy, may be a bit of an anticlimax following L'Ami Jean.
If it were I, on a post-CAJ Sunday I would take a rest and pray and repent in church. Not. Seriously I would have a pho in the 13th and nothing else on the days before and after an orgy chez l'Ami Jean. Remember: after CAJ, you are
A light picnic with fresh snacky stuff from the market, as Hychka suggested, is also a good idea.-

Thanks for the advice! My husband will love all the foie gras!
We walk miles and miles whenever we are in cities, so it will feel good to do that after the big meals. We'll see how we feel on Sunday and evaluate our dinner at that point. We do have to take full advantage of a quick 3 day trip!
