Nicholini's VS Harbourside Hong Kong Sunday Brunch, which one worth visiting? Please help! Thanks
I will be visiting HK in a matter of days, Pls recommend which of the 2 places is worth visiting for sunday brunch.
I will only be spending one sunday in hk and have already made reservation at both places but couldn't decide which one to go.
We visited Hong Kong a couple weeks ago and tried two more buffets, Tiffin Grand Hyatt Hong Kong and JW Marriott the lounge Sunday brunch buffet.
Both are very good buffets with iberico ham, foie gras, tons of desserts, etc. The Hyatt makes you pay extra for a drink package.
The advantage would go to the JW Marriott due to 3 kinds of caviar, unlimited wine and champagne, and cooked to order risotto.
We still give the overall edge to Conrad.. Can't wait for our next visit to Hong Kong for some more buffet.
Check out my blog post for a bunch of pictures to help you decide.
To be controversial maybe neither. Brunches are OK and fun but are they really good dining? Reflecting on my brunch experience I wouldn't head back to any for the food. It maybe better and no more expensive to head for Caprice or Amber for a set Sunday lunch, less booze but better food.
ah ic, thanks NilesCable and PhilD for the input:)
I tried pierre and caprice.....i haven't tried amber yet though....i'll give it a try;)
well the idea for sunday brunch is because me and a few friends wanna pig out:D
We used to go to mandarin grill for sunday brunch...they are fantastic and scrumptious! but since last year they omit the sunday brunch.....what a tragedy!
so for brunches Conrad Nicholini's then?
Yes, yvonneBB96, the best Sunday brunch I've ever had is at Conrad. The spread stretches from Nicholini's to Brasserie on the 8th, covering even the common lobby area between the 2 restaurants. You can be seated in either restaurants (I prefer Nicholini's which are more comfortable) from where you can then browse the buffet spread lazily from end to end.
