Sunday night chefs' menus?

OK. so I wanted to get to the Chefs' Whim at Craigie this Sunday, but called too late to get a reservation at a reasonable time (before 10, that is). Are there any good substitutes - a smart/creative chef's menu that's also a good deal? Any other good Sunday night specials along those lines? It's an occasion night for me & the gf, but doesn't have to be anything luxe - awesome food is enough.
