Looking for private room for afternoon family reunion

Hi - A few years ago my cousins got together for our first reunion. App. 40 people came including kids. We went to New Corners in Brooklyn where some were familiar. It worked out great for our group. We had a full Italian meal with a few choices at least for the entree, and had a large room for the full afternoon. The kids had room to move around and play, There was space to stand and talk, and two long tables. I am now looking for a space to do it again first weekend in June and want to make it particularly convenient for a UWS resident while keeping the price down. I think we will have more people -- prob more than 50 Didn't see the bill the other time but I think it was app $35 or so per, probably more with addons. Something not much more than $40, or less, basic charge would be good. Most impt. is the space, decent food, affordable and convenient. We were thinking maybe an Italian restaurant in the Bronx with a private room would work. Am open to and grateful for all suggestions.

I just wanted to add that if someone can think of a place that sounds good for this occasion that is a little pricier, i would love to know about that too. We may need to pay more.

      Maybe Kefi or Dean's?

You can also try Opentable's Private Dining page, where you can filter results by cuisine, price, location, and party size.

Thanks so much -- I don't know either -- just looked up and will check into -- perfect locations and just might work. Do you have a preference between them?
        I will also try Opentable.

I love Kefi. Dean's is good but not great. Patsy's in East Harlem has better pizza.

Be sure to look at their private rooms before booking, since online pictures can be misleading.

Good point -- I will be sure to go and see. Kefi does seem very appealing online.

We just had a family party at Citrus. The private room is downstairs (but most places have private rooms without windows anyway) and it was large so the kids had free reign. The food was very good as well and the staff were quite accomodating.

Lloyd, thank you so much. Reviews seem good and location is great.
How did they price it for you for your group and how much time did they give you?

My mother-in-law threw the party, so I'm not exactly sure of the pricing. We had the room from about 6 until 10:30 or so, and we had beer and wine at the bar, chips and salsa while everyone was waiting (it was a surprise party), some passed hos d'ouvre and then a small buffet. I imagine if you are doing something in the afternoon the pricing would be pretty good. Plus, the food was very good, which was a nice surprise for a buffet.
