HELP! Need Back Bay Bar for Meeting New Client

  • 4

I'm meeting a potential client for a drink. He's from out of state and will be at an all-day meeting near the corner of Berkeley and Boylston. Where can we meet at 5ish that is walking distance? Not too loud; not too stodgy. Thanks!

  1. The Bristol Lounge at the Four Seasons, 2 blocks away.

    1. HAHAHA there is a big all day meeting in the room next to me!

      I second the Bristol Lounge.

Another thought is Davios, which is very close.

      1. The Oak Room at the Copley Plaza, but might be "too stodgy". Also, possibly the bar at the Taj. This might be considered "stodgy", but I think it's more intimate than stodgy.

        1. I agree that the bar at the Oak room is the best spot...it is impressive looking, old school Boston and has nice areas to sit and chat. Plenty or room and you aren't being pushed or overheard by your neighbors. And it's not too noisy. I have had many business cocktails at this location and found it to fit the bill.
