TN: 2004 Match Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Butterdragon Hill

Dark ruby int he glass. Well-balanced, medium weight wine. Lots of dark fruits and a touch of cedar with a hint of dark chocolate on the palate and finish without any overt sweetness. Nice acidity and not overly tannic and just the right amount of vanilla/oak. A very nice wine

  1. Nice note Dinwiddie! I unfortunately burned through these so fast and I am down to my last each of the Butterdragon Hill and Baconbrook from '04-'06. Still have a couple mags of the '05 Butterdragon Hill. Absolutely LOVE Randy's wines! -mJ

Mark, I can understand that. I'm working very hard to keep them long enough to get some age on them. I much prefer my better cabs to have at least 5 years of age. But it certainly is difficult to keep my hands off Randy's wines.

Couldn't agree more! Had an '05 Friday night that was stunning! Need to start ordering these by the case! -mJ
