Late night in Georgetown

beanodc Feb 14, 2011 11:35 AM

Besides 5 Guys, where can you eat in G'town after midnight?

Bonaparte crepe on Wisconsin Ave has late night hours on Fri and Sat - a bit off the main Gtown strip but well worth it for something non-traditional for late night.

      Thanks for all the feedback.

I believe Wisey's is open late for some healthy (or not so much) food.

Bistro Francais is the place to go late night in Georgetown. Pretty good french bistro cuisine (although dated atmosphere)...their french onion soup, steak frites etc are good. I think they also have a special Late Bird 3-course menu.

George's Falafel on 28th and M is perfect for late night cravings - subs, falafel, cheese steaks. Perfect drunk food.

Have you tried Georgetown Wing Company (upstairs)/Crêpe Amour (downstairs)?

there's a very good falafal place on Potomac across from the old Georgetown Cupcake spot - 32nd St, I think? They always add a lot of pickles to the falafal and pita when I ask, unlike many places, which I appreciate. Good little spot.

Quick Pita. I'm not a fan. Morso Express does that type of food way better IMO.

I completely agree with hamster on this.

For some reason they've been closed for the last two weeks! At least they were closed last Wednesday, and the Wednesday before that as well. They have a sign up about "maintenance problems". Hopefully this will be remedied soon.

I love Morso Express -- it's very casual and small, but has wonderful food that is reasonably priced. Sorry to hear they have been closed recently.

Bistro Francais is THE historic late nite place -- a bump up from the two previous, but worth it if one is mostly sober. This is where, traditionally, chefs go for late nite bistek and frites. One of the few French places that remain open in a city once dominated by frogs.

I love Bistro Francais but was looking for a fast snack.

Muncheez Mania on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Very tasty if you can stand the decor.
