If anyone knows where to find fresh yuzu right now, it'd make for a very happy baker....I'm not certain it's available or whether it's out of season. I'm guessing a Japanese market might have it, but was hoping someone could clue me into a specific one that is carrying it now.

Call sunrise mart. Not sure if they have them right now, but they do get them. They also sell bottled yuzu juice-although that wont help if you are looking for zest.

2nd Sunrise Mart: they have them in season. They do have some good quality bottled juices if you only need that, though - check the ingredients and get one of the ones w/o salt, just the straight good stuff.

I've also seen them at Whole Foods when they're in season - but only at the Chelsea location, for whatever reason. They were quite expensive, as I recall.

You also might want to check Manhattan Fruit Exchange in Chelsea Market - they have all kinds of stuff, and their prices are usually pretty good for the quality.
