Does anyone recommend Don Cuco's for great Mexican before I give it a try?
I recommend it only as passable mexican food. Not great. Not horrible. The place is popular, though, so maybe I am missing something.
Great Mexican? No. It's not bad, though -- the Burbank location is better than the Glendale location.
I'd rather go to Tequilas, on Magnolia and Clybourn, honestly.
Been to the lunch buffet in Glendale and all I could say is WOW!
For $9.99, you get over 10 different meat selections in their respective mole and sauces, tortillas they heat up for you on the spot, all you can drink horchata, dessert, and plenty of other selections to keep your palate appealed at all times. My favorite were the beef fajitas.
I can't say this is the best Mexican food I've had in my life (spent my college years in San Diego) however for the bang for the buck, it is an absol-must-try.
I've been to two of their locations, Simi Valley and Santa Clarita. I rarely go there to eat, the food to me is mediocre, however the margaritas are outstanding. To me it's more of a happy hour type place. Was there last for Cinco de Mayo and it was quite the party. Keep it in mind for next year.
