He must be trying to drum up support for a new show. Ever since he gave up drinking, he's been blowing the horn for the current healthy eating fad. He used to be low fat, but that's out, so now he's all about sustainable living.

I have much more respect for Keith Floyd, who lived and died being the drunken gasbag he truly was.

Though this a local paper, not something with a national coverage. Doesn't sound like he's at an age where he needs to pursue a new project like a show.

A couple of years ago he was the graduation speaker at Bastyr Univ., a Seattle area Holistic-health school. His last business venture that I heard about was a Dinner-ready like store(s), but with health food bent. I don't know what happened to that.

When I opened your thread I thought I was going to read some really sad news. His show was such fun to watch in the early days...it's presently being aired on the Cooking Channel. He was a hoot.

Glad to see he's doing well. I watched his show as a kid and really thought that you had to drink wine while you were cooking. He trained me well.
