Where can I get good sourdough on the Cambridge side of the river?

I stopped by When Pigs Fly yesterday and got their sourdough, but haven't tried it yet because I'm addicted to the orange/walnut/something bread that I can't stop eating. Thanks, however, for all the good help!

Call Nashoba Brook Bakery @ 978-318-0006 and ask if you can buy their sourdough anywhere in Somerville. I like it better than Iggy's or When Pigs Fly.

Dave's Pasta sells Iggys breads. Not sure about other brands.

Nashoba Brook Bakery said they sell their breads at Whole Foods in Medford, and at the Cambridge WF locations at Fresh Pond, Prospect, and River streets. They also indicated the Star Markets in Cambridge should have it.

No outlets in Sommerville currently.

High Rise, though their service leaves much to be desired. I enjoy their breads but I don't visit them anymore since I've had a string of experiences with surly people working at the counter.

CF's site indicates that their Seeded 7 Grain, Porter Pumpernickel, and Sourdough are the only breads they make with a sourdough culture. So no go on the baguettes.

Yes. Both Porter Square and Beacon Street carry Iggy's Francese and whole-wheat sourdough, an excellent pre-sliced loaf that sells out really fast!
