Rehearsal dinner ideas

Hello to all, great board! I was going to see what suggestions that anyone might have for a rehearsal dinner in New Orleans. My fiancee is from there but we live out of state now. We wanted to have about 75 people and be more casual along the lines of a crawfish boil, fish fry, or catered local cuisine. We have checked into Deanie's and the Crazy Lobster and we are considering them. We wanted to do it at City Park but everything was booked. Any suggestions would be welcomed. Oh, and it will be Friday evening. Thanks in advance for the help.

we were able to rent out casamento's for a night. highly recommended if casual is waht your looking for. oyster bar was kickin, gumbo for everybody, crab claws and calamari, and a choice of fried trout or fried shrimp/platter/sandwich. it worked out really well. we had about 60 people. they said no at first but i convinced them that we would ring more in sales. our was on a thursday so we were lucky. just one suggestion.......when is your rehersal dinner date wise? i boil crawfish parties. all you need is a good location....good luck!

Mother's Next Door was where we had ours. Great New Orleans food. Seafood, jambalaya, poboys, etc. It's not outdoors, so if that's what you're wanting, then nevermind. But it was fabulous. Everyone loved the food and had a great time.
