Tapas in Soho?
I"m taking out a friend for her 50th birthday after work. We'll stop at the Red Lion for Happy Hour, then out for tapas afterward. We want good tapas, somewhere not overrun with skinny jeans and college students, good sangria, and a more adult (but not stuffy) crowd. We want fun and good food on an early Friday evening.

2nd Boqueria. If you're getting there early, the wait shouldn't be too long.

Another good option, not far from Red Lion, but not in SoHo, is Las Ramblas on W. 4th, just west of 6th Ave.

The Las Ramblas crowd leans more college student though. It's more cramped and less comfortable than Boqueria as well. I like the food a lot. Seems more home style.
