Any recommendations for a nice place for Valentine's dinner in Edmonton? Going after the 14th so reservations shouldn't be a problem.

    Anyone tried Culina?

Culina in general is great and there are lots of threads with more details. Not sure if they are doing anything special for Valentine's day.

My wife ended up going out with some friends yesterday (Feb. 12) to the Pour House on Whyte Ave. and she said they had a prix fixe special on, 4 courses including wine pairings for $55.

She had salad, soup, halibut, and dessert along with the wines and said the food was really good.

We have been to Culina and always enjoy it. We were at corso32 this past week and loved it - we had the short rib terrine appetizer and braised goat. We were told the menu changes regularly as well. It is southern Italian with a contemporary twist. Very good value, too.

The Red Ox Inn will probably always be my favourite in Edmonton. Another favourite is the Wildflower. Blue Pear also boasts a great menu.
