early dinner in Astoria near Museum of Moving Image
we're heading to the Museum tomorrow and looking for an interesting dinner place, hopefully that also serves alcohol! We'll be with 2 kids--adventurous eaters BUT I can't make them walk too far! thank you--

You could try El Basurero, the Colombian restaurant nearby (Steinway and Broadway). The place is literally decorated like a fun house, or a TGI Friday's on crack. The real question is if it's suitable for adults. I guess the stiff drinks answer that.

Arepa's cafe on 36th ave.btwn 33rd and 34th is awesome and really good, inexpensive and easy with the family. An easy menu for everyone to find something and tasty tropical juices. I go with my 3-year old all the time and the staff there is so accomodating. Try it out.
