Anyone own a Danby appliance?

I am considering buying the 9 cu foot refrigerator as it is the right size for my kitchen and allotted fridge space, but I am unfamiliar with the company. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I have had access to Danby appliances; they're primarily lower-end and very popular with the university student crowd because they're small and inexpensive. Ours was the second refrigerator in the lab. It was okay, but we didn't use it for long-term storage much less food storage.

I've had a Danby portable ac for years. It is not the most powerful appliance, but it works as promised. The company stands by its products, which is rare these days. I needed a replacement gasket after 5 years and they replaced it without question.

Used there kegerators before, which are lower end garbage.

They're OK for the $. Service and warranty coverage in Canada seems to be considerably better than other budget lines.

Thanks for the replies, I am thinking of scrapping the idea of a smaller fridge and having a couple of cabinets removed to accommodate a regular size fridge. I really don't want a fridge that will last only a few years.

I've had a Danby portable dishwasher for about two years. Purchased it since it was the only one we could find that fit the limited space available. It has been problem free. Initially found it awkward to load, but I've adapted to the point that I no longer know why it seemed to be an issue!

In sum, been very happy with it and feel it has preformed better than I expected.
